Software engineer apprentice wanted! This is an ideal time to join our team at the beginning and gain a wide range of experience.
We are based in Wrexham but have a remote working policy. As an apprenticeship this role will require one day a week studying on a distance learning course, so it can be done from anywhere within the UK.
For those who prefer to work in an office environment, and are near Wrexham, we have access to a local enterprise hub.
Software Engineer Apprentice: the Role
We are looking for a Level 4 Software Engineering Apprentice. This is a 2 year course. The role is 30 hours/week, including one day a week of study.
This role is an ideal way to study whilst simultaneously gaining hands-on work experience and learning from our experienced team.
We are a growing business and, for the right candidate, there may be further opportunities once the apprenticeship is complete.
The role requirements
The Diploma in Software Engineering is for learners aged 18 or over who are qualified at Level 3 or above or have appropriate experience in the subject area. Requirements are therefore:
- GCSEs at A-C in English and Maths
- Level 3 qualification or A levels or equivalent
- Ability to work 30 hours/week with one day a week studying
Software Engineer Apprentice: Responsibilities
You will report directly into our CTO, who has more than a decade of experience in software engineering and architecture. Your day to day responsibilities will be creating and maintaining software applications.
Skills required
- Confident working and learning remotely
- A passion for learning software engineering
- Previous experience learning programming
- A keen interest in technology and a desire to stay up to date with the latest technological advances
- Emotionally intelligent and able to work well in a team
